 The Security Unit is under the Vice-Chancellor's office and its objectives are:
1. To protect life and property within the community.
2. To ensure the maintenance of law and order on the campus.
3. To ensure that the movement of the public to the campus is adequately controlled.
4. To liaise between the University community and the external Security Agencies on security issues.
5. To serve as a clearing house for all matters relating to security on campus
