Legal Unit

The Legal Unit is under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor and the Unit is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor on matters pertaining to legal and other incidents. The Unit is headed by a professional legal practitioner.
Specifically, the Unit:

attends to all legal issues referred to it.

renders advisory services to all arms of the University.

drafts agreements and legal document.

liaises with University Solicitor.

represents the University in courts.

Other ad hoc duties the Unit handles include:

membership of investigation panels

membership of disciplinary panels.
