WELCOME
A capacity gap currently exists in the entrepreneurship sector of the Nigerian economy. This is due to lack of appropriate and adequate orientation in skills acquisition, education and training as well as gender re-orientation. Gender issues have in the past few decades become a global phenomenon in which the promotion of gender equity and women empowerment have been accepted as development strategies for reducing poverty levels, improving living standards and enhancing efficiency of public investments. In recognition of this, the Federal Government has developed a National Gender Policy with the goal of building a just society devoid of discrimination, harnessing the full potentials of all social groups and promoting entrepreneurial activities. |
The Vision
To become a leading centre for Entrepreneurship and Gender empowerment in the Nigerian university system, the community and the country.
The Mission
To educate and train technology oriented young men and women in the entrepreneurial approach to employment, poverty reduction, wealth creation and gender empowerment.
