DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME The course is a 5-year degree programme. The first year student will be required to register for science-based course offered by the School of Sciences. The appropriate courses are as outlined as general requirements for the School in the preceeding sections. Specialized courses are taught to the students at 200 and 300 levels depending on the degree option. During the 4th year, students are expected to participate in SIWES programme which lasts for at least six months. The SIWES programme enables the students to be exposed to practical fieldwork and environment in line with future expectation either in the industries; estates and plantations. Private and government farms; research institutes; processing, manufacturing and marketing organization and others. The 500-level courses are aimed at equipping students with necessary tools for proper farm management, and processing practices based on their areas of specialization. |
