Admission to 100 level is through the Joint Admission Matriculation Examination in subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have the Ordinary Level of General Certificate of Examination or SSCE with at least five credit passes including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English Language at NOT more than two (2) sittings. Candidates seeking admission to the 200 level must posses:

1. Good passes at the Advanced Level of General Certificate of Education or its equivalent in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, OR
2. OND at Upper Credit Level or equivalent in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related discipline in addition to Ordinary Level requirements.
