A Gift for the Vice Chancellor

Ruth Alao, a 200 level Student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA has a fascination with beautiful design. And she does wonders with art related motifs.  And luckily for her she got admitted to read Industrial Design in FUTA   and the skill has blossomed thanks to the tutelage by experts of the department.  As a mark of gratitude to the institution that is horning her skills, she did a unique portrait of wool Thread of the Vice Chancellor Professor Joseph Fuwape which she presented on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Led to the Office of the Vice Chancellor by the Dean, Students Affairs, Professor Gbenga Onibi and accompanied by the students Union PRO, Ifelola Ajele of the department of Urban and regional planning and her friend Olayemi Olofin of the department of Applied Geology, Alao described the opportunity to present the portrait as a rare privilege which would remain indelible in her memory. Professor Fuwape described the gift as very unique and another demonstration of the creativity and dexterity of FUTA students. He thanked Miss Alao for her thoughtfulness saying she has a bright future ahead of her in her chosen profession and vocation.
