FUTA INTERNS RETURN FROM SPAIN

FUTA INTERNS RETURN FROM SPAIN

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape has said that gender is not a limitation for anyone who is determined to achieve success in any endeavour in life.  He stated this on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 while receiving the 10 FUTA Students who benefitted from the Federal University of Technology, Akure / University of Jaen, Spain 2019/2020 Eramus Cooperation Project.  The team of 8 female students and 2 male students recently returned from a three month internship in Spain. The Vice Chancellor commended the students on the completion of the programme and lauded them for being good ambassadors of the institution. He said “We are excited to have you back.  This is a stepping stone to greater heights for you.  We are proud of you because you represented FUTA well.  I implore you to leverage on what you have gained and launch successfully into any future business or academic enterprise you set your heart to. I am particularly impressed that majority of you are female students.  Do not let your gender limit you or keep you from becoming all you want to be”

Earlier while presenting the students, the Coordinator, Professor Matthew Oyun said the students conducted themselves properly throughout their stay.  He added that the allocation of FUTA students on the programme has been increased to 20 while selection, will be based entirely on academic merit.
