INVITATION TO TENDER

1.0   PREAMBLE

 

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) invites interested competent and reputable contractors to apply for this tender and submit the required information as well as comply with all other prerequisites of tender for the approved 2013 IGR projects stated below:

 

2.0    2013 IGR PROJECTS                  REFERENCE NO.                                    

1.  Supply and Installation of 30KVA inverter      LOT 8 – CRCI

2.  Supply and Installation of Radio Equipment                    LOT 9 – RAEQ


3.0      SCOPE

i.      Installation of 30KVA inverter is to provide automatic change over to power backup in the event that there is power failure from the University Computer Resource Center.

 

ii.     FUTA Radio is to upgrade its existing radio equipment to highly efficient FM transmitter and other radio equipment

 

4.0    Interested bidders are to submit the following

  1. Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  2. Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3years)
  3. Evidence of financial capability to execute contract and bank guarantee
  4. Business Profile showing adequate personnel to undertake the assignment
  5. Company Audited Account in the Last Three (3) years              (2009 – 2011)
  6. A sworn affidavit that all documents submitted are genuine and verifiable
  7. A sworn affidavit that none of its Directors has been convicted in any country for any criminal offence, including fraud or financial impropriety.
  8. A sworn affidavit indicating whether any current officer of The Federal University of Technology, Akure is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the company.
  9. Evidence of payment of non-refundable tender fee of N10,000.00  for each Lot, made payable to FUTA projects Revenue Account- GTB FUTA branch A/C Number 0125426719

 

5.1   GENERAL INFORMATION

 

 

5.1   Interested Contractors should collect tender from the Physical Planning Unit on presentation of receipt issued from the Cash Office, of the Bursary, Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State from Wednesday, 2nd October, 2013 to Wednesday, 16th October, 2013.

 

 

 

5.2 All enquiries regarding this advertisement should be   directed to the DIRECTOR, PHYSICAL PLANNING UNIT, J. T. Oseni Building, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State between the hours of 11:00 am and 3.0 pm. Monday – Friday.  All interested Bidders are to attend the opening of tender documents meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 16th October, 2013 in the Senate Chambers immediately after the close of submission

 

6.0  SUBMISSION

 

 

 

All submissions for tender should be in a sealed envelope and identified with the project reference number at the top left hand corner and marked “TENDER FOR LOT  (Please specify LOT no)” and delivered by hand or courier service to reach the address stated below not later than 12.00 noon, Wednesday, 16h  October, 2013

7.0   OPENING

 

 

 

There shall be a public opening of the Tender immediately after the close of submission  on Wednesday, 16th   October, 2013 and the representatives of all the Bidders and the general public are encouraged to attend.

 

 

 

NOTE:

 

     

 

        (i)    Failure of a Bidder to follow the order of any of the instructions above or provide any of the listed documents may automatically result in disqualification.

 

 

 

       (ii)    Notwithstanding the submissions made, The Federal University of Technology, Akure  is neither committed nor under any obligation to include any Contractor on the final list of pre-qualified Contractors or award any form of contract to any Contractor.
