Fagbuyi Elected as Vice Chairman NIPR, Ondo State Chapter


Mrs. Taye Fagbuyi of the Directorate of Corporate Communications and Protocol, Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter. She was elected during the recently concluded Annual General Meeting of the Institute held in Akure under the supervision of the National body. Congratulating her, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji said, “This well-deserved appointment is evidently a recognition of and reward for your diligence, devotion and tenacity of purpose and indisputable leadership qualities. The university is indeed proud of this laudable achievement which will not only bring recognition to FUTA but will further confirm the status of our university as a center of excellence. We thank you profoundly for your contributions to the growth and development of FUTA. We have no doubt that your versatility and leadership qualities will be put to use for the realization of the goals and objectives of the Institute." Professor Oladiji urged her to keep the flag flying as an ambassador of FUTA while wishing her happiness and good health. She said, “it is our sincere prayer that the appointment will usher in unprecedented positive transformations and higher attainments in the operations of the Institute”.

The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations has the power and responsibility to register members, set parameters of knowledge to acquire to qualify to practice, regulate the practice and development of Public Relations Profession as well as monitor professional conducts through an established Code of Ethics, amongst others.
