In the process of fostering and bridging the gap between students - students and Lecturers - students relationship, the Executive members of SEMS FUTA Chapter Nigeria Association of Earth and Mineral Science Students, NAEMSS through the Vice President organized a one day program tagged "Students - Lecturers Interactive Session" at Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA).
This session emanated a dialogue between the lecturers and students on how the lecturers can help the students in their academics sojourn and how the students can make it easy to be helped by the lecturers.
The Dean of the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Prof. Anifowose was present with the Departmental HODs and majority of our lecturers to sensitize the students on how they can bring out the best in themselves and how to reach out for help anytime. He also advised our freshmen that every lecturer is their friend, they should not hesitate to reach out for advice.
The students had the opportunity to network among one another while asking various questions that cut across their course registration, academics, career, self-development, carry-over courses and how they can reach out to the lecturers if they encounter or need help academically at any time.
It was a great avenue for the students to ask questions that bother their minds and all questions were welcomed, respected and duly answered by lecturers.
